Summer Camp Highlights at St. Matthew's Weekday School
This summer at St. Matthew’s Weekday School was packed with laughter, discovery, and growth. Over ten unforgettable weeks, our campers explored new interests, made lasting friendships, and created joyful memories that will stay with them as they head into the new school year.
We kicked things off with Nature Week, where curiosity bloomed. Our little explorers built bug hotels, created leaf prints, and spent their days soaking up the wonders of the outdoors.
During Happy Birthday Week, we celebrated summer birthdays with crowns, balloons, and lots of cheer. The highlight? A festive tribute to the Fourth of July that brought everyone together.
Camping Week brought imagination indoors. Children built forts, gathered around pretend campfires, and shared stories and songs, proving that the best adventures can happen anywhere.
Games Week invited our campers to think creatively and work together. From classic board games to their own inventive creations, each day was filled with excitement and teamwork.
Next came Field & Olympics Week, where our young athletes took on playful challenges and friendly competitions. It was a thrill to cheer them on as they gave their all with pride and joy.
In Kids in the Kitchen Week, budding chefs made healthy snacks like fruit kabobs, parfaits, and trail mix, all while learning basic kitchen skills under the watchful guidance of our teaching team.
We ended with Spirit Week, a celebration of individuality and school pride. From silly hats to superhero capes, the creativity on display brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Our summer wrapped up with the End of Summer Family Picnic. Families gathered to share food, laughter, and heartfelt stories from camp. It was a joyful reflection of the strong community we cherish at SMWS.
We’re so proud of our campers for their enthusiasm, growth, and imagination. Thank you to our families for your continued support and for being part of the St. Matthew's SMWS summer journey.
