Grandparents Lunch: Celebrating Family and Connection

A Special Day of Togetherness

On September 8, St. Matthew’s Weekday School will host our Grandparents Lunch, a heartfelt tradition celebrating the role of grandparents and special adults in our children’s lives. Guests will visit classrooms and share a simple lunch while creating lasting memories.

Lunch in the Classroom

Each class will welcome guests between 11:15 AM and 1:15 PM. Families should bring lunch to enjoy together. This shared time allows grandparents to experience a slice of their grandchild’s school day, sparking conversation and joy.

Bringing Everyone Together

We understand not all grandparents can attend. Families can set up virtual visits or send a photo to make their presence felt. Every effort is made to include all loved ones.

Why It Matters

This event reflects our commitment to nurturing strong family connections and building meaningful experiences for our children. Grandparents hold a unique place in a child's life. Their stories, wisdom, and unconditional love create a bridge between generations and help shape a child’s understanding of family, heritage, and belonging. By inviting grandparents into the classroom, we provide children with a sense of continuity and shared history, reinforcing the importance of love and connection across all ages.
