All Aboard for a Month of Joyful Learning
December Curriculum Spotlight: All Aboard and Making Memories
December is a time for wonder, connection, and joyful discovery at St. Matthew’s Weekday School. This month, our classrooms are filled with the spirit of adventure and reflection as children explore our December themes, All Aboard and Making Memories.
For our infants and toddlers, learning will focus on the color green and the shape of a star. Through songs, sensory play, and hands-on exploration, they will discover these elements in their classroom environment and through festive activities that celebrate the season.
Our preschool children will continue the excitement with learning experiences that encourage curiosity and growth. They will explore the letters J, K, and L, the numbers 9 and 10, the color green, and the shape of a star. These lessons will be integrated into art, storytelling, and music activities that foster both creativity and foundational learning.
Throughout the month, teachers will help children make lasting memories through experiences that combine learning with joy. Whether building a train in the classroom, singing along to favorite songs, or sharing stories about family traditions, every moment will encourage imagination, kindness, and connection.
