What to Expect at Our Thanksgiving Luncheon

Our Thanksgiving Luncheon is a cherished SMWS tradition that brings families and children together to celebrate gratitude, connection, and the joy of learning. This gathering gives families the chance to pause in the middle of a busy season and enjoy a simple moment of togetherness within our classrooms.

Here’s what to know before you arrive:

  • When: Monday, November 24 or Tuesday, November 25, depending on your child’s class schedule.

  • Where: In your child’s classroom.

  • What to Bring: Your own lunch to enjoy with your child.

  • Special Moment: After lunch, each class will sing a song of thanks prepared just for families.

Each year, the children work with their teachers to prepare this meaningful moment of gratitude. They practice their songs with excitement and take pride in sharing them with loved ones. It’s a sweet reflection of the friendships, care, and joy that fill their days at St. Matthew’s Weekday School.

We hope families take this time to enjoy being present with their children, sharing a meal, and celebrating the blessings that come with our strong school community.

This simple tradition is filled with warmth and appreciation. It reminds us how thankful we are for every family who makes SMWS such a special place to learn and grow.

We look forward to celebrating with you soon.
