Touch A Truck Easter Event

April is finally here, and with it comes the sweet aroma of spring flowers, warmer days, and the joy associated with the celebration of Easter! We are thrilled to announce that St. Matthew's Weekday School will be hosting our annual Touch A Truck Easter Event. Situated in the heart of St. Matthew's UMC, we invite all our enrolled families and our church community to join us on Palm Sunday, April 13th, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

This isn't your average Easter gathering. It's a hands-on exploration extravaganza filled with truckloads of fun (literally!). Fire trucks, police cars, and construction vehicles, just to name a few, will be present for your child to investigate. Our main aim is to offer an engaging and educational environment where children can learn more about different community service vehicles and the integral roles they play.

But wait, there's more! Along with the Touch A Truck Experience, we have an exciting Easter Egg Hunt planned. Even though Easter egg hunts are an all-time favorite for children, our version comes with a twist. Instead of looking for candy-filled eggs, the children will search for empty eggs which they can later exchange for a goody bag.

In addition, there will be an Easter-themed craft station where kids can put their creative skills to work, games to stir up child-like laughter, and face painting for that festive touch. There's also a chance to meet and greet our local first responders. Our budding superheroes will appreciate a chance to talk to the firefighters and police officers who help our community daily.

We know all the fun can stir up an appetite, so rest assured that there will be an abundance of free snacks and refreshments for everyone!

Our Touch A Truck Easter Event is all about creating a welcoming space for families from all walks of life to celebrate together, make new friends and engage with the church members and the local community. It's about strengthening relationships and making memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

We can't wait to see all our enrolled families on the 13th of April. Let's make our community stronger, our bonds tighter, and our festive spirit brighter. Remember to RSVP and share the news with friends via social media and church announcements. Because the more, the merrier.

Join us in experiencing the joy of the Easter season and take the first step towards creating unforgettable memories this spring. See you then!
