The Kindness Exchange: A Week of Friendship and Care at St. Matthew's
At St. Matthew's Weekday School, kindness helps our community grow stronger. This February, our Kindness Exchange invites children to experience the joy that comes from giving, sharing, and caring.
Children will get to choose from these activities and more:
Exchange kindness notes that express encouragement and gratitude.
Create small gifts of care, such as bookmarks or bracelets, that remind them of the happiness found in giving.
Share in storytime discussions about empathy and the importance of noticing others' needs.
Build the Kindness Tree, adding leaves for each thoughtful act that brightens our school.
This year includes the Connection Celebration, a time for children to honor the relationships they have formed with teachers and friends. Families can check with their child's teacher for classroom details.
Classes will also prepare welcoming banners and gifts for Hypothermia Week, sharing kindness with those who visit our campus.
The Kindness Exchange helps children see that care grows through every kind word and thoughtful action.
