February's Christian Message: Jesus and the Children

At St. Matthew's Weekday School, our February Christian message, "Jesus and the Children" (Mark 10:13-16), teaches us about the love Jesus has for every child.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." - Mark 10:14

Throughout the month, children will explore this message through stories, songs, and gentle acts of kindness. They will learn that they are precious in God's eyes and that Jesus welcomes each of them with open arms.

Teachers will lead conversations about friendship, compassion, and how to share God's love each day. When children offer a kind word, help a friend, or share a smile, they experience how faith can grow through everyday actions.

This theme connects with February's focus on Hearts and Hugs and this week's Kindness Exchange, showing that love is not only a feeling but something that we express through care and kindness.
