The People Who Show Up at Pickup

On Monday, September 14, grandparents are coming to lunch at SMWS.

Grandparents carry a lot in a child's early years. They show up at pickup. They offer advice on the hard parenting days. They hold a place in a child's heart that stays there for life. Our mission at SMWS reaches around the whole family, and that includes the grandparents helping to raise our children.

The lunch itself is simple. Grandparents share a meal with their grandchild, walk through the room where their grandchild spends every morning, and meet the teacher who is with them all day. After Monday they'll be able to picture it every time their grandchild tells a story.

It's a small gesture. It means a great deal to the families who join us.
