This Month's Christian Lesson: The Creation of Adam and Eve

Each month our classrooms explore a Christian lesson, woven into our faith and our work of nurturing the whole child. This September our children are learning about the creation of Adam and Eve. The story comes from Genesis 1:26 through 2:25.

The story carries one idea a young child can hold onto. Every person is made with care and with purpose. Our teachers bring it into the room through stories, songs, and conversation shaped for the age in front of them. Children come away knowing they are valued exactly as they are.

The lesson opens another door. Children start talking about gratitude, about the world around them, and about the people who fill their days. Those conversations sit right at the center of what we do at SMWS. We're raising children who grow in mind, heart, and spirit.

Look for this month's theme at circle time, on the classroom walls, and in whatever your child brings home to the dinner table.
